Dr. Bell is an assistant professor, certified sport psychology consultant of The Association of Applied Sport Psychology, and caddy on professional golf tours. Dr. Rob Bell is committed to helping athletes, coaches, and parents develop the mental toughness necessary to achieve their best.

Mental Toughness Training for Golf addresses the importance of our preparation. This book illustrates creating pressure in practice, playing golf not golf swing, how to build a human taproot, why suffering is needed, how low expectations can help our performance, how to build mentally tough golf teams, and the don’ts of mental toughness.

Dr. Bell’s research interests include the “Yips” in golf, applied golf and baseball research in mental training, athletic identity, and streaks. He has been published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, Journal of Sport Behavior, Journal of Athletic Insight, and Encyclopedia of Sports. He also writes on the mental game for various golf websites. He presents annually for AASP, baseball coaches, and PGA professionals alike.
