Or no longer feel nerves over those key shots?
Or have laser focus on the target and nothing else?
Or play in competition like you do in practice?
Or shake off bad shots and holes in seconds?
If you learn a program for practice and the optimal approach to every golf shot, you will enter new levels of scoring that you did not think possible.
What I’ve made available for you here is a structured path for you to follow with every practice session and round, that will remove negative interferences and replace them with the belief, that you are capable of becoming the golfer you never thought you could be.
You’ll learn techniques to control your thought patterns so you remain totally on the task at hand – hitting the golf ball to a small target with a clearly visualized shot shape.
Who knows where you can get to in this game. I’ve worked with hundreds of players, who just needed showing the right path and techniques for building self-belief and they were shocked with the results. With my help, you will learn The Golf State of Mind.
“The mental game is without a doubt the area that amateur golfers will most benefit from improving. The Golf State of Mind eBook is a highly effective way to learn and practice it.”
– Adam Gee, European PGA Tour player and former World Amateur No.1
Golf State of Mind: Mental Game Exercise System is more than an eBook, it’s your guide to practice and play to your potential in the most effective way possible. The best part? You don’t have to make any swing changes!
The Golf State of Mind website has been running for over 4 years now, and during that time it’s become the #1 resource for mental game coaching on the web. It’s got thousands of members and followers and continues to help golfers develop a simpler, more effective way to practice and play and lower scores and increase enjoyment. I created this eBook as a result of all the questions, feedback and interviews I’ve done over the years. So, you can be 100% guaranteed that that I know what you struggle with, and all the drills and tips contained WILL help you take your game to the next level. There’s no psycho-babble or fluff, just tips and drills.
Most practice is a complete waste of time
Unfortunately this is true. I happen to believe that time is the most precious thing we have, so why golfers would continue to waste it practicing in the wrong way, I have no idea. Hitting balls on the driving range over and over again, tinkering with your swing is counter productive. We need give each practice session a purpose and make it as meaningful as possible.
Through making some fundamental shifts in the way you practice and play, you can use this valuable time much more effectively and see the results you desire. It’s up to you. After taking this course, the average player was able to reduce their average score by 5-7 shots, so there’s no reason why it can’t work for you. If it doesn’t, I’ll gladly give you your money back, no questions asked.
“David captures the real essence of how to play golf with a clear mind while helping you focus on a repeatable process, instead of the technical details. David can help any golfer find his natural self. By doing this, he makes the game simpler and more fun for all. Way to go David.” ~ Eben Dennis, Power Feel Golf and Former Mental Coach for Nick Faldo
Undoubtedly the best way to practice is with the same pressure you would feel on the golf course, not focusing on mechanics and hitting to the same target on the driving range. This is not how to practice playing, which is what we need. This eBook contains drills that will make you feel nerves and get better at handling them. You’ll play games against yourself and your heart will race over the last few shots to beat your best score, just as you would when coming down the stretch. You’ll learn how to get your mind and body synchronized with non-technical thoughts by playing a relaxed game based around visualization and feel. This book has all the exercises to make this happen.
“David’s eBook highlights the difference that makes a difference. When you practice these fundamentals you not only remove self imposed interference, but it returns you to your natural brilliance. Simple and deceptively brilliant.”
– Peter Taylor, Golf Mind Coach, English Golf Union
Golf is a game that lures the ego, but it’s also the ego that prevents us from becoming as good as we can be. This program is about getting yourself out of on your own way and to make every shot about the ball, the shot shape and the target. Nothing else exists.
Better players have more control over their mental and emotional state – it’s that simple. And they do this through their practice and a disciplined approach to every golf shot. PGA Tour players have a bounce-back rate of 25%. This means that after every hole that they score a bogey or worse, they score a birdie or better on the next hole, 25% of the time. The average weekend player is almost 100% likely to follow up a bogey or worse with another bogey. What you have to believe is that, you too, can build the mental toughness of the Tour pros and re-frame your attitude after a bad shot or hole. You just need to learn how and practice it during every round.
What most of us fail to realize, is the Mental or Mind Game, needs to be practiced like every other area of you game and with the right drills you can make progress with every session and round.
Equipment and Swing Changes ≠ Lower Scores
The last twenty years have been the most innovative in the history of golf. Drivers are much bigger, balls fly farther and are more controllable, and clubs are more forgiving. We now have more analysis of our golf swings and ball flight than ever before. Yet the average handicap remains at 16. So why have we not improved?
Because we make the same mistakes over and over again. We need a new way to practice and play that eliminates those things that prevent us from getting better. The golf industry wants us to believe that our swings and equipment hold us back, because it makes a lot of money that way. My teaching cuts through that and gives you the belief you need to start playing with a renewed, simplistic perspective of visualization, feel and positive focus.
“David Mackenzie has a subtle yet genius approach toward the mental game. I got the chance to work with him and his knowledge of the mental game really helped to change my thought process on the golf course. After working with him, I felt more confident and I look forward to working with him in the future!”
– Aubrey McCormick, Big Break Atlantis 2012 Competitor

“Thought I would let you know that I played a quick 9 this morning on my home course and shot a 4 under par “32” with 4 birdies and no bogies. The part about feeling the shot, visualization and just enjoying the round helped me “go to the next level”. Just the tone of the voice in it sets you up for a relaxed focused round. Last year at this time I was shooting in the low 80’s and upper 70’s most of the time. Although I have been playing for many years, this year has by far been my best with 2 sub par 70’s just in the last month. I will be 57 next month and feel like my best golf is yet to come.”
– Dave Davison, Lawrence, KS, USA.
– Sara Woodward, The Golf Police
“For me the mental game is the most over-looked aspect of golf teaching. This ebook is a great insight into why golfers under-perform and the disciplined shot routine reminds us of what a visual and feel based game this really is.”
– Christopher Ellis, Pyrford Golf Club, Surrey, UK.
– James Hardy, 14 Handicap, Sydney, Australia
“Thanks, David, for your indispensable guide to the mental game. Before your help, apprehension was my dominant emotion when addressing the ball. If I’m truthful with myself, I never knew where it was going to go. Your eBook has given me the ability not only to visualize each shot as I want to play it, but also to hit it there.”
– Jonny Goodman, 22 Handicap, London, UK
